Helen Edward
Helen has lived in Barnes for 30 years and is deeply involved with the local community. She is a Governor and an A&E volunteer at Kingston & Richmond NHS Foundation Trust and a local school, and has been a trustee of several local charities, including the Barnes Community Association, for which she also fundraised and wrote 2 books about Barnes. A former Business Development Director with an MBA, she was the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Kingston & Surbiton in 2024 and previously stood as a Barnes Councillor candidate.
Carlos Garofolin
Carlos is 23 and has lived in Barnes for over ten years since moving from Italy with his family. Educated locally and a graduate of Newcastle University, he developed an interest in politics through the debating society. At the start of his professional career, he brings energy, enthusiasm, and a compassionate, fiscally responsible, common-sense approach to local issues. A keen sportsman, he enjoys rowing and tennis and is committed to caring for the environment, innovation, and strong local infrastructure.
Dr Sandy Urquhart
Sandy has lived in Barnes for over 25 years and believes in strong communities built on fairness, service and local action. A Trustee of the Barnes Community Association, which organises key events like the Barnes Fair, Food Fair, and Christmas Festival. As a Chancery Barrister with 20+ years experience, she brings integrity & sound judgement. She also chairs the Barnes Charity Fashion Show, raising funds for vital local charities - including FiSH Neighbourhood Care, Home-Start RKH, Bowelbabe Fund, & Friends of St Mary's Barnes.

Clare Delmar
Clare started her career in the UK as an urban planner and has over 30 years' experience in regeneration, healthcare development & the arts. A Mortlake residence since 2017, she has been a close observer of the proposed redevelopment of the Stag Brewery and supporter of the Mortlake Brewery Community Group. She advises on planning, housing & health issues and their impact on local communities through the popular Listen to Locals blog. Clare is a passionate advocate for the River Thames as an active rower & swimmer, and dedicated to the future of London as a trustee of the London Society.
Rhys Thomas
Rhys has lived locally for four years, since moving here from Sydney, Australia. He plans to raise his family here in the borough. Rhys' career in the technology sector is built upon solving complex problems and delivering measurable results - a mindset he is eager to bring to the council. From finding a permanent solution for Hammersmith Bridge and protecting local heritage at the Stag Brewery to managing parking costs fairly, he is commited to being a visible and active representative who shows up and gets the job done for every resident.
Peter Vider
Peter grew up in Barnes, attending St Paul's School. After studying engineering at Oxford, he enjoyed a successful international career in the energy industry, working across Africa, the United States and Indonesia before returning to the area. Locally, Peter is involved in a range of activities, including masters swimming in which he still competes at a national level. Peter is passionate about issues concerning Richmond Park and would be a strong voice for Mortlake & Barnes Common.

Anthony has lived in Kew since 2010, choosing it as the perfect place to raise a family. He values its village character, green spaces, and unique setting by the Thames. Now his children have grown up, he wants to give back to this special community. A film director by profession, Anthony brings strong communication skills and will champion Kew, ensuring resident's voices are heard.

Margaret has lived in Richmond for over 27 years and is a former Richmond Councillor (2014-18) with a proven track record in public service, including leadership roles in health committees. She is committed to bring a strong alternative voice to the council. A journalist, author and community leader, she combines international experience with a passion for service, aiming to champion residents and help strengthen Kew's future.
Xandi Steele
Alexander has lived in Richmond his entire life, building a strong connection to the local community. At 18 he brings a fresh and youthful perspective, aiming to represent the views of young people. He is committed to championing a common-sense approach to local issues and ensuring all voices are heard.

Charles Protheroe
Charlie grew up in Richmond, as a child, he walked to the Vineyard School from his home in the Alberts. After university he worked as a teacher for three years before moving into public relations. Charlie now works for a consumer rights organisation. He feels very fortunate to have moved back to Richmond, also handily close to Brentford FC, where he is a season ticket holder. He is passionate about the local area and is committed to supporting residents and strengthening the community.
Sheba Sogol
Sheba has lived in Richmond for over 30 years with her husband; it is where they have raised their children. Deeply connected to the community, she values its parks, schools and local life. Sheba brings experience as a trustee and director both in UK and internationally, she is also an FA football coach. Committed to giving back, she champions clean neighbourhoods, stands up for residents, and works to ensure Council Tax is spent wisely.
Phillip Taylor
Phillip has lived in Richmond for 40 years and has practised as a barrister on the Green since 1995. He specialises in civil law, covering courts across West London. Phillip was previously a councillor for North Richmond during which time he served on the planning and licensing committees. Before moving to Richmond, he was also a councillor in Oxford.
