This workshop is for those of you who have not yet submitted your application form to Candidates Department. It will explain the form, the process, how to prepare for it, and what to expect at the PAB.
In this one-day workshop, you will learn how to develop - and make the most of - good relationships with journalists. You'll do a mock radio interview with feedback and learn how to speak on-the-spot. You'll also learn about writing press releases.
Although aimed towards people standing as Conservative council candidates, this will also help anyone who doesn't have much (or any) experience in canvassing and campaigning.
